Default Any electronics problems with the 997?

Hi,

Other than the RMS/IMS stories, I am wondering if the 997.1 cars have any eletronics-related issues?

Thanks,

-T

Infrequently every modern Porsche will have minor warranty-covered electronic issues, but I am not aware of any known electronic problems that are recurring. I have a 997.1S launch car bought on launch day and it has been a near perfect car for 45K miles.

I just had a wonky iPod issue with previous gen NANO in the 997.2 PCM. A few NAv glitches, but nothing that was not computer related!

My TPMS appeared to go on the fritz (went blank, wouldn't provide a readout), then it self-corrected. Of course I say it was the TPMS, but I have no idea what really was the problem.

My oil level indicator gave false readings for a couple of days and then "stabilized" by itself.

I wonder what these cars will be doing in ten years. How do the first generation Atari computers hold up today? LOL. There's no way to upgrade the computers we are driving except to trade the whole car in.
