johnwb,

I'm planning on buying used and keeping forever, or at least that's what I'm telling myself. I'd think non-Bose would be MORE expensive - they're so rare!

If someone wasn't going to buy my car because it didn't have the Bose option, I don't think I'd really want to sell my car to that person anyway as they miss the whole point of the car.

Honestly last option that comes to my mind as decision factor is Bose.

Not to have it is even better as it is mostly dead weight and sounds quite horribly, not better than stock system at all. Somebody wrote that in 997.2 Bose speakers got improved significantly, but in 997.1 they are not that great at all.
