And what's up w/ the driver seat? It's rock hard in all the wrong places and I was in agony less than 5 minutes in the seat. Why didnt Porsche make it easy on itself and plop the 911 seats in the Cayenne? My C4S seats are the most comfortable car seats I ever sat in, bar none (and an impatient douche that I am, I've been in many a car seats.)
I have to agree w/ you. The car has no power and frankly when compared to other SUVs, doesnt offer that much utility. I do like the fact the engine offers a traditional dipstick unlike the 997.2!

The 6cyl Cayenne is a slob, I have had a few as loaners. However the Cayenne S is a great ride w/ a great engine. I feel best in its class. I owned one for 3 years and really enjoyed it.

I have to agree that the V6 is a dog, but the V8s are great.

I have shopped just about every SUV avail and I can't find a more well rounded choice than the Cayenne. However, I also hate the seats.

Just yesterday I was checking out the Ford Edge. Supposed to be a compact little SUV. It weighs 200lbs more than a Cayenne S, and has about 100hp less. To me that's a dealbreaker.

As to the Lexus or infinitys...I like the body styles, but the suspension is mush, and they are terribly underpowered, as well.

Have you checked out the new Touareg V6 TDI yet? I'm quite impressed with the overall package, and it feels much livelier than the Cayenne V6, plus better MPG.

My recent loaner car was a BMW 328i. I drove it about 45 miles and it drives just like a my girlfriends 2008 Ford Focus. Seriously.

Actually, that's one I haven't tried. But being in So Cal I'm not sure how much availibility we will have. Plus, I'm sure I'd have to go w/ the V10! I'll go check them out, just for fun.

You can't get the V10 diesel Touregs in California any longer. And they only had a handful when they did come out in 07.

I also get a Cayenne as a free loaner.
Nice truck, but I have to say I love the heated steering wheel.
