Single ticket.

Ticketed at 10pm in/around Santa Clarita on the way to willow springs.

Sent in the fix a ticket signed off with $35 process fee.

(Used double sided tape to put the front plate on and went to local CHP for sign off)

Thought it was over!

3+ months laster, Got a letter from Santa Clarita Courthouse saying that since I did not pay the fine or show up to my court date that there is now a warrant for my arrest and my license has been suspended.

I was dumbfounded.....

After a week of calling and being on hold for 45-90 minutes each time. The Santa Clarita courthouse claims they never received my payment or fix a ticket.

I checked my bank and the check for $35 was cashed by santa Clarita courthouse... huh???

Then they changed there story after I faxed a copy of the cashed check.... then they claimed that they got the check but never recived the fix a ticket.

They then stated i had 2 option:

1 pay the new fine $900!!!

Or I could set up a new court date to have a judge hear my cases about the missing fix a ticket.

I said to schedule the court date, the soonest date was in late march. Then I was told that my license would still be suspended until my court date and that I could not legally drive!!!!!!!

So basically they strong armed me into either not driving until late march and my court date with the judge.. or paying the $900 fine and they would reinstate my license.

Since I need to drive to run my business, I had no choice to pay the thieves the $900.

I learned my lesson about fix a tickets and will now always just pay the fine and rip up the ticket.

We make the money and they take it and spend it on BS! Wow what a business model!

Un-freakin' believable! Well, maybe not with CA being in the sad state that it is now.

Just goes to show that you need to document anything gov/state related, unfortunately.
