Default Do you have painted wheels?

I have a set Carrera S "Lobster Fork" wheels which I am thinking of having refinished- painting the "forks" a light gun metal grey (nothing too dark, but darker than the GT Silver spokes of the Carrera Sport wheels), and leaving the outer rim aluminum.

If you have painted wheels why don't you post some pics so we can get a gallery of comparison pics? I have seen many examples of black painted wheels, but have not seen a lot of other examples! I am obviously most intrested in wheels as similar to what I am thinking of on my color car- but whatever combination you have, if you have 'em let's see 'em!

Since you mentioned them, here's a shot of my Carrera Sport wheels:

All OEM wheels are "painted" these days. Painting to match the car may or may not be a good idea.

I can recall when "color coded" 911 Fuchs wheels were a bit of a trend. White spokes on a white car, red spokes on a red car, etc.

I notice Porsche is now offering that again, in limited colors. I would be curious to see a few of those on new 911s.

FWIW, I'm not thinking of color-matching my car color- just something a bit darker for the spokes. Maybe similar to the shadow chrome of my M5 wheels.

Anyway... that's it? 2 pics?

Rambler....do you live in a 'black car only' neighborhood?

Nice shot!

From that pic it would seem like it, huh? But no, just a chance happening.

That's a good idea! My car is similar to OP (Seal grey) I wonder how Rambler's black wheels would look on my car. BTW Rambler's car is gorgeous. Who would do that mod? Wheel shop?
