Get some RAGGTOPP cleaner and protectant. Amazon and many online retailers have it.

Another suggestion for cab owners is to ALWAYS carry water and a rag or two in your car to deal with the nasty stuff as soon as you detect it. (Like bird strikes). I'm surprised myself in how clean the tops seem to stay considered what is out in the world!

+1 on the Raggtop. I just cleaned and protected my cab a few weeks ago. Easy to do. checkout the detailers domain video for applying the raggtop!

Thanks for the information. Is Raggtop something I can only get online? Or can it be purchased at a auto parts shop?

Ragg Topp- buy on-line.

Other Maintenance Tips After Ragg Topp:

1) Don't wash your top with any soaps- just a stream of water
2) Blow dry with leaf blower
3) Weekly cleanings with tape roller- top dry

We had a BMW convertible for 9 years. Ragg-Topp protectant is great stuff (just keep it off your paint), but for washing the top I used Porsche convertible top cleaner. I had read somewhere that it was the best thing to use for cleaning fabric tops. So I used Porsche convertible top cleaner for years before I owned a Porsche. When we traded in the BMW recently the top still looked like new.

This is good advice, and have folloowed it for a few years. I do take it one step further, and fill the spray bottle with distilled water, as to avoid any potential water spots, plus the water can be used to top-off the coolant if needed when away from home, in a pinch.

Just remember to remove the water bottle when prepping the car for winter hibernation. Distilled water freezes fast!
