I agree with your comment re the badge. Being a passionate Pcar person, I noticed the badge delete right away, (many potential buyers may not even notice) I also noticed the owner's attention to documentation and details of care are definitely there in the ad copy, which would be really important to me as a buyer. If the buyer must have the badging, they can certainly add one. However, if the buyer is someone looking for the perfect unmolested/concours '05 , they will be impressed with this one. Remaining warranty would be a selling feature, but a concours car is quite an intriguing feature too. Good luck with the sale, OCBen!

It's not a badge. A badge is what goes on the hood.

The flimsy plastic sticker on the back that identifies the model (and makes detailing a pain and ruins an otherwise clean look) is referred to as the model designation sticker, and yes "Delete Model Designation" is clearly on the Mulroney sticker.

Congrats....on the sale

I'm not a banker but in my business I do get alot of checks.

Never seen a pre-dated cashiers check before.

I didn't even realize you were selling your car Ben.
Whoever bought it got one of the cleanest 997s around!
I'm sad and happy for you Ben! I know you'll be back in a p-car at some point.

And as for the model designation deletion thing,....I can't imagine that being a deal maker or breaker to anyone out there.

Most transactions i've made have been a day or two after going to the bank.

Congratulations on the sale.

My bad...meant to type post dated check.

But I have never asked my bank for a cashiers check with a date two days away.

Not sure why this is needed to be done unless it was after bank closing.

Just making sure its not a scam

Anyway ..he got a great price.

The car was advertised at $53.5k and sold at $54.5k? Did it have multiple bids?

yes it does...but the cars.com ad had 54.5

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...5&aff=national

obviously the buyer came from there and not here....not really unexpected.

Thanks everybody.

I bought a 4yr/60k power train warranty and upped the price by a thou. I listed it on AutoTrader as well and got more nibbles from there than from the cars.com ad.
