Parked next to a porsche - certainly different type of owner

If I recall correctly you had a burgandy/tan? Damn that was the finest looking 360 I have ever seen. I drove the Gallardo, granted an earlier model, and just felt there were too many Audi parts on the inside and it felt a little tame. I have not driven the latest Gallardo, but do plan to buy one at some point as I do love the engine in that car. I too need a family car so bought a 750Li loaded and took delivery in Munich. We drove around for a couple of weeks--very cool.
You will sell every car you buy, including your Gallardo. Less than one tenth of one percent of people buy high-end cars and keep them more than ten years. Most car enthusiasts are car ******; moving from one hot car to another.
Ferrari is 100% aluminum, hence the ALCOA on the frame inside the engine compartment.
DB9 or GT? Hmm. Tough call there.
Talked to those guys at Algar when trying to acquire a 360 and they were great, but a tad high. I'm sure if I lived there and bought cars from them they'd be better to me.
Got any pics of your 997s?

I had 2 360's a red coupe, and a black spider, and yes I would agree that (since I've owned over 130 cars in the last 10 years) many are car ******, and I used to be one of them, but as I get older (and I hope wiser), I have realized the cars I now own have been altered to a point that they give me everything I will ever need. Just a few years ago, I would have been one of the first to get the latest Ferrari from Algar, but I have no interest in the 458, or any of the new crop of cars. After over 35 years of playing with cars, I have other things that are more important in my life, and once I find a nice coupe (I drive a Range Rover in winter), I will be all set. I have no idea how much I have spent over the years doing mode on cars, but it easily over a half a million dollars and I can not say I did not love every minute of it, to almost everyone who knows me, it was a crazy thing to do. So to answer your question, no I wont sell either car, the desire for the next best thing no longer is in me.

Just read entire f-thread.
I never knew I was such a piece of trash, nor that I drove a piece of trash. I could buy a 360 if I chose to, I just like having $$$ in my pocket at the end of the month instead.
As far as these religious Fcar owners/nuts go, lets crucify them and nail them to a cross and see how far their loyalty/religion goes then.
"...hey guys...come down off the Ferrari-cross...it's getting winter-time...we need the wood!!!"

Is this the Porsche or Ferrari forum...as always, I am confused. Oh, what kind of watch do Ferrari owners own? Oh boy....I know I am asking for it.
BTW, no one can compete with a YUGO owner...now thats loyalty! So there you F owners...take that!!
(BTW for those sensitive hard*sses out there...its a joke and no I don't own a Yugo)

Cultivating future car enthusiasts is a lot of fun. When I return home from DE events, I unload the trailer on the street in front of my house. I live on a cul de sac, so all of the neighbors' kids come running over to find out if I "won the race". They pepper me with all kinds of questions about the car, the danger, the "competition", etc. I let them climb on the trailer, and help spot me when it's time to back the car down the ramps. It's a hoot, watching their unfiltered enthusiasm - some are too young to know if it's a Porsche or a Volkswagon; all they know is that it looks hot.
Well... do ya?
(want to trade for a day?)

Thread was started with a link to F-chat, where I am a member, and I do own a Ferrari. It's not about cars, but people, and they're all the same everywhere--my point.
I own Panerai (no Ferrari watches--tacky).
Love your GT. No trades, sorry. But would be happy to hook-up. My new 7 is a daily driver. F's are too expensive to drive everyday given the maintenance.
