Driving Impressions: Lotus Evora vs C4S SPASM

Race Car
I'd like to see later editions of the Evora, preferrably supercharged. In those pics the Lotus front fascia reminds me of the new Mazda's.
Is Lotus coming out with a V8 Esprit anytime soon?

Nice mini review,...thanks.
I personally like the Loti. I took a ride in an Exige S at the track and was very impressed with it.... very cool car. I think having a Toyota engine would be a plus,....if U mess it up it's cheap to fix!

It is a very interesting car, but it is no 2009+ Porsche (Cayman/Carrera).
Here is the "tour" schedule. Would be interesting to read other opinions after a drive.

Personally, I consider EVO and Car to be the two premier auto publications in the UK. The Evora also won Car magazine's Performance Car of the Year this year, beating out some impressive competitors including the latest Cayman S. The 997 also won this award upon release, and it was followed by the F430, the Audi R8 and the LP560-4. No national favoritism going on here, either - these guys haven't actually chosen a British winner for 13 years (the Elise won in 1996).

British car mags in general - and EVO in particular - are not the bastion of bought journalism. EVO has been telling it like it is for years, and they seem to like the Evora.

The other side of the discussion is now presented and I am the first to admit I know NOTHING of their reputation and very little of their writing history.
Anywhooo- I encourage others to take a drive and post their thoughts. If the mags are impartial, hell, maybe I am a closeted Porsche fanboi! haha
