2nd waxing and the Swiffer - and stay on them. While it is dust, it comes off pretty easily. Once ever wet, more work.

I use Klasse All-In-One Polish & Sealant on the rims and wash them every Saturday. Just spray with water and a clean microfiber cloth to clean them. Once a month I would re-apply the Klasse AIO and the rims have been very easy to keep clean. Oh, yeah, Swiffer helps keep them clean between the washes

I also use Klasse AOI, but only twice a year. Actually only once per set of wheels per year. In the spring I thoroughly wash, dry and Klasse the summer wheels before I mount them on the car. Then any time I wash the car (usually weekly) I use the last of the wash water and soap, very little soap BTW, and an old terry washcloth and clean the wheels and brake calipers. I rinse the washcloth frequently to keep from recirculating the brake dust. Then in the Fall I clean the winter set, Klasse them, mount them, wash the summers and store those. In the winter I wash the car with ONR and again use the last of it on the wheels.

This routine works well, and may explain my strong preference for simple wheel designs that I can get my fingers in and around. No basket weaves for me!

Here are your options:

1. Don't use your brakes.
2. Get used to having dirty wheels all the time.
3. Wax your wheels and clean them often.

I prefer option 3.

Here's another option: Have your wheels painted semi-gloss black--to camouflage the dust. I think that's not a bad option.

I agree with uzj about the wheels. Not sure about the cat stuff though. It might have to do with the other posts such as "stain on my bra" and " I sprayed something..." This site is really taking a turn for the worse.

I suggest you use Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze instead, as the AIO has abrasives, unless your wheel finish is oxidized.

i replaced by pads with ceramic composite from hawk performance and kept the stock rotors. works great and reduces brake dust to virtually nothing. i get the same stopping power as my stock pads.

wax the wheel when clean.
next time, just spray simple green at 50% strength and hose it down.
dry it and done.

Sorry, But I disagree with this. No ceramic pads can match porsche OEMs.

+2 for ONR - followed by spray wax. Works well for me.

BTW - My wife's S6 gives off even more brake dust and large rotors make cleaning inside wheel even harder.

Optimum no rinse ++ As good as it can get for those with a dust problem. I can't speak for it myself as I don't really have a dust problem like most have, but for what I do have, it is first rate.
