This is true. They will sometimes set the computer to the pressures for maximum load also which means if you then lower the pressure to recommended pressures for partial load, your TPMS will probably alarm and tell you that you don't have enough air which will require resetting the computer to the partial load pressures. All simple enough to do, but somewhat of a pain.

Everyone has to determine what works best for their situation. I routinely run TPMS indicated 33/39 which may be about 34/40 with a light load. If you start to add people to the car, and stuff, you need to up the pressures.

it finally reset itself this morning. i am currently running 34/40.
