Anyone know if a Bose Sub in the 977.2 coupe can be moved from the location at the rear to the location at the front passenger well as is found on the targa and cab?...using the appropriate OEM housing etc...in an attempt to free up a bit of space at then rear. Thanks.

I would start by doing a parts search. Check to see if the speaker itself is the same part number. Obviously the trim is going to be wholly different. But if the part number is different for the speaker then you will have issues. I would imagine that you could BUY all the parts for a cabriolet and host it in the coupe.

im sure it would fit, question is the wiring.....

behind my cab bose speaker, was the same trim and etc as my coupe...

the floor mats are diff tho ;-)

how much room do you really need? i found the sub in my cab obtrusive to the passenger and when i travel i put my duffle on the floor there which took up room.. (easy to reach and grab stuff, also easy to charge laptop/etc with the plug down there)

my coupe has the bose up top in the back and i dont even notice it... i can still put a duffle or a rolling carryon on top of the seats when folded down.. if i had a targa i would for sure however opt for the floor subwoofer as having rear pop hatch access would mean id put stuff back there preferably..

I was thinking along the lines of the Targa location and perhaps that bit of space in the back was preferable to the passebger footwell...I'll see things first hand on wednesday...dealing with a C4S launch coupe. Thanks.
