Virtually no coupes with Cocoa out there
Been looking for a nice 05, 06 or 07 C2S or C4S coupe with a cocoa interior. I missed Charlesj's car by a day (another offer was already accepted). Found a nice slate grey private sale on cars.com, but the deal fell apart due to the owner not having the title in hand. He tried to flip it without registering. Long story... Bummer.
Any tips? I search autotrader.com, cars.com, porsche.com often.

I would give it a few months of searching before I would switch my preference. Sometimes you have to be patient. I see cocoa at my Scottsdale dealer a lot but they can be somewhat high on prices.

I was looking at a 2005 C2S Slate/Cocoa. It was perfect... minus the logistics / title issues the seller had.
Thanks of the tips so far.
I've been patient and will continue to be Its soon winter here, so no rush. If anyone sees anything let me know..

The Scottsdale dealer has more issues than just high prices. I would stay away - went to CA to buy my car!

Here's one on Craigslist in Santa Cruz, CA - but high miles: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/scz/ctd/1444835177.html

That would be perfect - but not thrilled about 52k miles.
Checked out the silver/cocoa C2S at the "local" dealer. Price is coming back down to earth. They are at 75CDN, i settled on 70CDN and not a penny more, so they are mulling it over. They have had it for 4 months and winter is arriving now.

Be aware, too, that cocoa is a special color. It first became available on the 997s as a painted on Cocoa, with sort of a leather sofa look in a lawyer's office. By the MY08 year (I think that was it, or MY09) Porsche supplemented that Cocoa with a NATURAL Cocoa. It's a much finer leather, without that painted on look. When you're researching these cars used, you need to know what you're dealing with. If I responded to an ad for a car with natural cocoa and it was the earlier stuff I would not be happy.

Keep looking, you will find it. It may take some time. Took me 2 yrs to find the perfect car, seal/cocoa, very rare. You probably will not have to wait that long. One comes up every few weeks or so. Cars.com; autotrader, ebay; rennlist. It is worth the search! Good luck.
