Default First Post - deal of a lifetime on a 2008 C2

Hi All,

I picked up my new 2008 C2 Friday. It started snowing an hour later and I came down with the H1N1 Sunday nite (sigh!). Fever broke last night so you can guess what I've been doing today. This is my 6'th 911 but my first new one (my last was an Amazon Green 92 C4). I wasn't actually shopping but I couldn't pass this one up.

The car has been on the dealer's lot for over a year. The color, speed yellow, which is one of my favorites and the color of my first 911, was a turn-off to the local population. Because it had sat so long, the dealer had it certified so i'm now good until March 2015 or 100K on warranty. MSRP was $86,850 and I paid $56,000. It had 402 miles on it when I picked it up. As I said, I wasn't shopping, but at this price...

Options:
Speed Yellow
Black Sport Seats
Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package
Leather Sport Seats
Heated Front Seats
19" Carrera S Wheels
Wheel Caps with Colored Crest
Leather Sports Steering Wheel
Parking Assist System
Sport Chrono Package Plus
Bose High End Sound System

Exclusive Options:
Trim Strip Painted Ext Clr
Air Vent Slats Painted Ext Clr
Instr Surround Painted Ext Clr
Gear Lever/Handbrake Alu./Lthr
Seat Belts - Speed Yellow
Stainless Steel Exhaust Pipes

It also has a clear bra plus headlamp and door handles, and winter mats. I had the windows tinted today at 35% with the carbon tint (Clear Choice in Boulder, Co).

Well, it's time to go back out to the garage and sit for a while. I look forward to being a part of Rennlist - once again, hello.

Congrats! That is a fantastic deal. I love Speed Yellow! But the interior trim in yellow is probably too much for most. IMHO, that's why the car sat for so long.

Please post some pics, including the interior to prove me wrong.

400 miles, the car hasn't been broken in yet. Sounds like a good deal.

They've got a new '08 C2S sitting on the lot up here, Black on black, tip. Nice car. MSRP is/was $99k, it priced at $86 now. My wife likes it, she's not into shifting. If I thought I could get a deal like that, I'd talk to them but previous experience in buying my 2 997's would indicate there is no way.
You got a great deal on the car, get well and enjoy it.

Great Deal! the best place for your isolation will be in your new car. I had the H1N1 a month ago--it will take a few days of driving away from you...

Pics shortly (I hope). I agree that the interior accents probably were the big turn-off as I had to think about it also. As it turns out, I love it - I find myself adjusting the vent slats to show a little extra color (go figure).
