That is incorrect. They are running the 6litre for '09 GT2 and will run a 5.5 litre V8 in 2010.

Fair is blinding your opponent all the time with high-beams, passing via pit-out lane, tagging him on turn 11 which is a difficult turn to begin with by trying to upset the RSR rear and then the wall battle? Come on, that was so lame.

Bergmeister was driving hard, but come one, he was defending is ability and the Vette just didn't back down knowing he was beat, so what else is there to do? Put yourself in the wall and cry foul after all the antics he was pulling off?

OK, in 09 it's a de-stroked LS7 engine. Still larger lungs than next year's engine and much larger lungs than anyone else in the series.

I am a Vette fan (I owned an '08 LS3 for a year) but the Vette is not a GT2 class car. Pidgeon-holing it in GT2 is favoring it. But that's OK it's all racing, competition is good, and the other marques will be better for it.

Noticed you owned a Z06, how does it compare to 997s?

I would like to take both cars and combine them into one. I may be in the minority here but I absolutely love the exterior styling of the Z06. The 997S is obviously a more refined car. Having said that, my 997S has more creaks, squeeks and rattles than either of my two Vettes (had an'05 C6 as well). The 997S is more of a driver's car with a better "connection" from road to steering than the Z06. The Z06 is a softer feel and can be somewhat numb. The Z06 is surprisingly a very comfortable car....once you get used to the awkward seating position and longer than normal front end. It really can be a daily driver. You feel more of the road (and bumps) in the 997S. The 997S clutch and seats are more "sports car" feel to me than the softer clutch assembly and La Z Boy seats in the Z06. The 997S is quick and the Z06 is "throw you back in the seat" fast. It is the fastest car I have ever driven by a longshot. The full leather interior option in the Z is a nice step up from the basic interior but is still a far cry from an Audi or BMW.....or my 997S with full leather interior.

I think Bergmeister drove a great race. He stood his ground and did not crack under Mag's numerous pressure tactics. Mag could have lifted when he found himself against the wall. He didn't. Shows cojones but Berg stood his ground.

Both drivers were placed on a 2 race probation for the start of the 2010 season. Any screwups and they are suspended for at least two races.
