Pic - The Car and the New Flooring
All,
I've been overdue on providing a car pic, so I thought I would do double duty and provide one of the new floor tile as well.
Did this myself (with help from the wife). It was a bit of a workout, but really fun. Took approximately 2 hours to lay 225 tiles plus the edge pieces.
If anyone is interested, I found a local source in TN (that ships) and is super great to work with. Tile is high quality and way below what others (e.g. Griots) charge. Comes in a ton of colors. FYI - I have no affiliation. I'm just a very satisfied customer. PM me and I can point you toward them (or provide insights on the product).

nice floor! was just talking about this the other day with the misses after i cleaned the garage and she goes "if it were up to you ud tile the floor wouldnt you.." and i said "of course"

Man oh man I want! I was just chatting over dinner last night with some friends that I have to finish my garage off because it just isn't cutting it as is, and I want to do the floor in a black and white checkerboard pattern. Very Nice!

What type of prep work was necessary on the cement floor before application ? Power Wash- Etching ??
Does each tile have an adhesive backing or did you have to lay the adhesive down first and then place ?
Looks like a great job. I'm interested in the same.

"Cement" is the powder (Portland Cement) that goes into making concrete along with numerous other things such as water, sand, aggregate, etc. It is essentially analagous to flour in bread. You can no more toast a slice of flour than you can have a cement floor.
