used 997 price increase - is this one good?
Recently, the market for used 2006-2007 C2S cars has firmed up with dealers asking more now for a Carrera S than a couple of months ago. It seems a good deal is harder to come buy. Almost considering just putting everything on hold and waiting a year or two for a used 997.2 C2S.
Right now though, I now have the opportunity to pick up an Artic Silver C2S with 20K miles. Nav, Bose, Sport Adaptive, Power Seats, Sport Chrono. New PS2's and recent service completed. 5 months left on original warranty. Seller is asking for $47,500. Does this sound like a good deal? Original owner. Seems like a stand up guy. Drove the car around for 20 minutes and every thing seems in order. Oh yeah, and aftermarket Tooki Bluetooth installed.

i tentatively have a deal at $47,500. excited and nervous all at the same time. only last worry is that there is a rock chip on the driver side. Can these be fixed? I was once told that driver side chips/ cracks could not be repaired because the epoxy/ resin filler would distort the line of sight. If I have to eventually replace the windshield, that's not a cheap repair.

I just had a rock chipped windshield replaced on my newly purchased 2007 C4S and also my BMW, which one company said was not reparable. I had a national franchise company called NOVUS come out to my house and repair both windshields in less than an hour. Excellent repairs and service. They have a website: www.novusglass.com. You can see if there is a franchise dealer near you.

Worst case scenario - you`ll buy new engine later on for $20K. But it is worst and quite unlikely scenario. Be optimistic!

Your insurance might cover the cost of the windshield replacement.
I have a chip I thought about repairing and was told if I was thinking of doing this for aesthetic reasons to skip it but if I was doing it to keep the chip from getting larger to do it.

geez... the deal just fell through... the original inspection was via his 20K service. I wanted a DME scan, but he said it was too much hassle, that a buyer was willing to pay him all cash, no questions asked...
r u serious? in the world we live in today, it's only prudent to ask questions... for a $50,000 car, a buyer should have the right to ask for details... especially the DME... wtf?
it also sucks because i already requested bank draft in his name address and paid $25 extra to overnight fedex it to me and paid an $29.95 for a carfax last night... i know it's only $55, but it's that and a waste of my friggin time...
