Exactly. There is, through September 30, "trunk money" ($10,000 on C2 and $12,000 on C4) in addition to what appear to be generous ( 6 - 9 %) discounts off MSRP.

As to C2 or C4, really a personal choice. I went with a C4S coupe today as I like the look and do not plan to track the car (GT3 is 98% track car). I had a 2002 C4S which was a great car for mountain driving, especially in wet weather.

Drive both and compare. I think the 997.2 C4 is a lighter feel than the 996 C4, but not as light as a C2.
