Hi,
i am thinking of selling my car and i wanted to hear thoughts on pricing range...I am not sure what to get next, debating between a 2007-2008 turbo or a new 2009 carrera S. My current car is a 2005 911 S with 22.4k miles. Serviced to date (Champion / The Collection), tires, rotors and pads recently changed. These are the factory options:
Thanks!

generous dealer is say the 46-49
not so generous dealer 40-45
i had the same color, non S, cabriolet, full leather, short shift, bose audio, 19" wheels, bi xenon, self dimming, sport chrono, with all aftermarket removed and got offered 39k at a few dealers.. got the one dealer up to 45k and said TAKE IT NOW!.. i had paid the exact same 45k 3 months prior @ porsche dealer.
if i were you, i would look at 09's and make the trade work for you... wouldn't look in miami tho as they will just try and rape you on the trade and the 09.

To be honest, I did not feel anything after the GIAC flash... I did feel some difference (in addition to the noise, of course) when i did the tubi mods. Thanks for the input on the pricing, which is actually better than what I thought.

Hey fer2367, if I hadn't bought my 2005 997 S 3 months ago here in Miami, I would seriously consider yours. Silver on Black is always my #1 Choice. Plus all the mods you've done are perfect for the Track. For your reference I paid $48.5K for a one owner 31K miles, full leather, navigation, bluetooth 997 S, with RG5B Champion Wheels, Clear Bra and Cargraphics Mufflers (Black on Black)

Hi Lucroberts...you got yourself a very nice car!
If I remember correctly what Champion Motorsports literature said, they claim that the entire system (headers, exhaust + GIAC) should be good for 20 HP. I did feel some increase in power and torque, but I can not know if I got 25 or 15 HP. Would I do it again? Probably not, because it was very expensive (5k for the Tubis and 1k for the GiAC), but at the time I was into modding the car withouth thinking of the money I was spending.

Mid-$40s. Mods don't typically add much value. One is better off returning a car to stock and selling off the parts. And silver is a common color, a lot of people avoid silver and black b/c there are so many of them.
Anyway, best of luck.

The reason there are so many silver and black cars is because these are popular colors. I would think that a silver/black car is an easier sell than a SY, macadamia or green.
