I have been very happy with mine, but the added weight causes the trunk lid to fall. The struts won't support it any more, I can deal with it for the protection, but this might be an issue for you.

Fortunately, You will never have to replace your liner

The factory struts are eventually going to fail, and the additional weight(~2lbs) may bring this to your attention, but it is inevitable- We offer replacements, as do many suppliers(if seeking options)....Changing is relatively painless

FWIW, my frunk does not fall with the added weight of the Schild lid... +1 regarding the need to potentially replace older/ worn out struts. I recall replacing them years ago.

mine has also been fine with the das schild for the past year and it's still on the original struts. My last 997 also had no issues with either

Can't recommend enough the purchase of one of these!! Adds protection and a bit of clean up to the look inside the frunk. I put a Porsche sticker on the shield to make it look cool.
Inexpensive clean mod to add some class to an already classy car!! IMO

Hi I purchased one of the lid liners in the Group buy on 24th Oct 15, and it arrived in the UK 11 days later. Great product ( I don't know why Porsche don't fit them from the factory ) it finished the frunk compartment. I highly recommend this product from a trusted supplier and at a great price with the Group discount. The shipping cost to the UK was very reasonable.

Ordered one of these too. Was on the fence from last year's group buy. I am glad i purchased this year. I get why Porsche may have excluded it for weight reasons...every ounce counts on the track...but as others note, it is a perfect fit, looks like it came with the car and is easy to remove if you need to save weight on the track. I was surprised at the quality frankly. Great feel to it.
