As previously mentioned...the group buy is appreciated...at 45 orders, just 5 short of your requirement... would you still consider giving us a break on shipping? Taking advantage of your offer, I ordered my shield before I purchased the car?!

Thank you for the group buy. After your list of 42 buyers, the following were apparently not accounted pushing us to 49:
Jerry 1
Sy 997
Tutone
Simrohor
slowmo
ice4mac
grahamml
Perhaps there are others yet to be added ? Even if we remain at 49, I second mambodoc's request that you kindly consider extending the additional rebate as a good will gesture to the group. Best,

I received mine on Friday. It fits well and was very easy to install.
I must admit though, that I was shocked that i just spent $160 (even on a group buy) for a thin piece of plastic that probably cost $1.50 to make. Amazing the markup just for selling an item to Porsche owners.
Overall i'm happy with the product, but I think the price even on the group buy is ridiculous.

While I agree with you in part, this is called entrepreneurial capitalism, and thank God we still have it, for awhile anyway.
Further, he's probably not putting two kids through college on the profits from this venture either.
The way I have to justify this is what it would cost to build/make one myself. It would cost far more than $160 even if I value my time at $25/hr + Materials, and it would most likely not be as attractive (if you could call something like this attractive). Is the cost high for what it is, well yes, and the likelyhood of needing it's protection worth the price? Well you'll just have to be the judge.
If you want to beat up on someone about this, go to Porsche and find out who/why they designed the hood without some protection to begin with (and pound him/her for me too)!
Now, let's concentrate on cupholders!
