Default Changing Seatbelt Web Color 997

I would appreciate some advice on what's involved in and the cost of changing seatbelt webbing (going to black). Does the entire seatbelt assembly need to be changed or can the webbing simply be replaced on the existing hardware? Estimated costs? Thanks for any insights.

Entire assembly. Expensive. That's why we encourage people to think it through carefully before they commit.

Best place I know to get prices (roundabout) and a good place to order from is Gert at Carnewal.com
he is in belgium but gets stuff to us in the US in a heartbeat.
He has all the different color belts.

Black may be a bit less expensive, but the whole assembly must be changed, as the pre-tensioner
works with a explosive charge.
Hee is a pricing example from Suncoast:

I definitely appreciate this information. I am buying a used 997s that is perfect... except for the color belts.

Don't forget to check with who you plan on installing them and find out what they charge. When I checked with my local Porsche dealer, their quote was pretty high (I think they wanted close to $500). I had my local indy shop take care of it for me when they were doing some other mods and they only charged me $150.
