I had some rash on the front of my A4 when I turned it in and got hit for about $250. The car was otherwise flawless. If I had used some Dr. Colorchip or even a black marker (black car) and not had it parked facing south when the inspector came at noon I probably would have had no issues!

As a prior poster said BMW is cut and dry as they mail you specifications and measurements on what qualifies as a ding. I got nailed with a rock chip on the window and had to pay for a replacement.

I would have considered purchasing my lease-ending 2006 325i but BMW didn't want to negotiate which is ridiculous since the market value on their lease up vehicles in late 2008 decreased dramatically as the economy was going South. No way in hell was any sane person going to pay residual based on late 2005 economic circumstances.
