Three Wheelin'
I've never used one of these things before, but I have had battery issues with my driving habits - at $40, it seems worth a shot - crazy? We'll see.

Do that 5-6 times a year over the next 3 years and keep your mileage under 5K/yr and then get back to us on how that works for you. I've been there, done that. Notice that most cars makers who sell/include/suggest these things are mostly exotic cars not destined for daily driving.

Here's something to look forward to.
Coincidently, my just about to turn 4 year old '06 had its battery die of natural causes, on Saturday.
Plenty of regular useage.
I picked up a more compact and lighter Interstate from the parts counter at the Porsche dealer for 185.00
