Default I am shocked....

After all the chatter on this board about getting deals I am shocked there are not more people stepping up to the plate with the deals going on now. I sold a C4S coupe sticker 102 and change for 82k and a Green launch car for low 70's. The deals are pretty darn good now and the more desirable cars are going to go first. Yea you could wait and maybe save a grand or two but then you’re going to be looking all over for a car with decent colors or options and probably not find what you want.

Buyers its time to hit your local dealer hard.

Yeah, I almost wish I waited another few months before getting my C4S... How are Cayennes looking? I wouldn't mind one for a DD/winter car.

Cayennes are getting tight and there is no cash on them unless you lease a S or up

Trader,

On your advice, I did hit the dealer hard! I'm sure deals are getting even better now than they were just a month ago, but I am very happy with the deal I got.

By the way, I was sailing near Annapolis and there were FIVE boats full of vehicles that were waiting to get into the port. I was told that at least three of them had been there for over two months and that they had not yet been given any indication of when they would be allowed to dock and discharge their cargo.

D'ya think stock is backed up just a bit???

An S or GTS is what I'm interested in (specifically a GTS). Any chance of a decent lease? What kind of numbers should I be seeing? Thanks!

The issue on the GTS is that the residuals stink, Porsche is more interested in selling them then leasing them.

There really are no cars at the ports to take and the 10's have not been shipped so I doubt they're Porsche backing up

The problem is the corn holeing we take when getting out of our current cars.

Realistically if you can buy a brand new 100k car for 80k what do you think happens to the price of the used ones? You call it "corn holeing" but thats the reality of trickle down pricing.

i'm looking at an 08 c2S for $74k, without negotiation. standard options + PSE, 18" wheels, meteor gray over black.

i'm also looking at leases for 09s, with non-negotiated 5% off sticker, but when i went down to the dealership, residual offered was 45% on 09 911s and cayman S with a money factor of .003 or so. is that a reasonable money factor and residual?

The residuals are set in stone byt PFS, the MF on 2009's is a buy rate of .00146 and that can be marked up to only .00186. You also should get way more than 5%off.

For a few grand more than the price on that 08 you could be into an 09

got mine last month and love it.. best deal i could find.. at first wished i had done the green C2S but now im in love with my car even if it doesnt have sports chrono...

hopefully these deals end soon with porsche as they are good and bad, good for the time being.. bad if they continue... even worse if it becomes mass advertised (other than porsche forums)

i know they cut production for 2010's which is awesome, as they wouldnt need to discount to move the stock... which will bring values back up considering new 10's arent "cheap"... porsche is very smart.. so im sure they will do the right thing.
