Default 25.1 MPG

Just returned from a 500 mile trip. I averaged 24.4 MPG. Just astounding.
It is close to 100% more miles per gallon than my 2009 Land Cruiser

I noticed that you had a tank range of 251 miles plus 53.4 miles (miles since fill-up) giving you a total range of 304.4 miles.

I worked on that a little myself this summer....getting up to 485 miles on a tank! (at 70 mpg)

I would have loved to take a picture of the 9 MPG I got at the race track but I was a bit busy.

I mean that as a compliment by the way I think 9 MPG is very good at speed, that is probably better than most older SUVs around town.

I took an epic road trip to the Monterey Historics - here are some screen shots. Car is a 2009 C4S w/PDK. On days without major elevation changes, I saw 27.1 mpg routinely for the entire day (usually about 450 miles). The greatest range number I saw was when I had 410 remaining to empty after already driving 52 miles. Keep in mind, the last shot includes all stops, traffic delays, border patrol checkpoints, etc.

Why are you proud that you drove your car like a "toyota"??

Because they were all highway miles... The point is, I took the car up to some very nice speeds (average 65 mph over 3300 miles?!?!!!) and I certainly didn't baby it, but the DFI 911 is a very economical ride when it comes to fuel. Not everyone can live their life a quarter mile at a time...

My round trip to work is 125 miles with 110 of them on the highway. On the days I drive my Carrera it gets on the average 27-28 mpg. Fun and fuel efficient too!

I got 26 mpg avg on a 500 mile trip a few months ago. At 75-85 mph on the highway.

I'm proud that I get gas mileage like a Toyota, but that it hardly drives like a Toyota. I test drove a Camry (rated 25mpg combined) helping my mom shop for cars - there could not be a more opposite driving experience - brakes - what brakes? You should go drive a Toyota - it helps you realize what the additional $75K or so you spent on the 911 gets you - excellent engineering and performance - and decent highway gas mileage.

I get city/highway combine arounnd 17mpg. LOL, I admit I often drive a little bit above the speed limit. I notice I get better gas mileage at higher speed on the highway than at posted speed limit of 70's. I can avg 25 mpg at cruisin around 90's. AT 70's I get 23mpg.. The mpg get pooer once past 110's. The math doesn't make sense but it happen. Will test out my theory one more time on my way to Grand Canyon...

Remember 1974 when the US imposed a maximum speed limit of 55 mph in order to reduce fuel consumption? Well, maybe it's time to impose a minimum speed limit of about 90 mph (for example) for Porsche 911's in order to reduce their fuel consumption! Personalized speed limits, yay, hehehe...

Funny, guys driving Porsche sports cars with price tag between 90-130k with of 350+ hp bragging about getting 50 mpg. I think this something that the folks in the Prius forum would enjoy much more.

2700 miles since new 997.2 c2s I'm at 12.9 mpg. I haven't reset the trip computer since purchase. Do you guys use the sport button? I think as I accelerate on to a highway I can watch the gas gauge move down. All in all much more fuel efficient than the 05 cayenne TT that was 17k miles at 9.2 avg mpg.
