Default To the AZ Clan, Speed trap?

Planning on another brisk drive through AZ. Any speed trap I should be aware of? Specifically, I10 to Pheonix, than to Flagstaff, then to South Rim of Grand Canyon, then to north Rim, then to Vegas. Going to have a father and son drive and would like not to get a ticket in front of my son. He love speed, will be responsible but one can't resist a long strecth of pavment without a car or two. I know AZ have Radar speed camera. Like to nailed them before I travel. TIA

Was caught once near Williams when going from Flagstaff to South Rim. Was also caught once going from South Rim to North Rim. The one lane highways in N. Arizona headed towards Utah seem to attract speed traps - small towns that really benefit from out of town revenue. Otherwise, AZ major highways have some speed cameras, often there is a sign about a mile or so ahead of the speed camera itself...

If you have a new iFone, Trapster.com is an app that will show existing traps, red light cameras and even mobile traps if users "report enforcement points" right away.

Thirty years ago, as a teenager, Arizona was one of those states you had to watch your speed or they nailed you. Thirty years later...nothing has changed.

Look out for the mobile traffic cams!!! They sit all over the place up there especially the Chandler area and the back side of Phoenix when you get past Greenway parkway!

+1 Take heed when you see the yellow Speed Camera signs - they hide the truck well, but they'll be there within 5 miles.

I do find very few cops use laser, most are nice enough to drive around with their KA band blsaitng. get a V1 and you'll be OK unless you drive triple digits for too long

Check out http://speedtrap.org , and a top quality radar/laser device would also be a good thing!
