Thanks VicL for the info. I'll check the fuses. Initially, when the cigarette adapter wasn't working I had compared the fuse of the cigarette adapter to that of the alligator clip and the 'ring' adapter and they all looked the same so I assumed the fuses weren't blown. Guess it's time to google search for some fuses!

I bought it from digikey.com however I just checked and they do not have it in stock.
The full spec is: 5x20MM 8A Ceramic Fast Acting.

Here is a vendor from EU if you can't find one in the US. It's a really hard fuse to find since it's mostly used in the EU.

Just thought I would provide an update. Based on VicL experience and Matt's input, I sent my unit back under warranty and had it replaced with a new one. The new one works great. Thanks to Matt and CTEK for a quick exchange and great customer support.
