I love the car, but my budget will only allow me to get into an '06 - now if she would take $60K for it, I would talk to the bank...I mean wife

BTW, I bought a '70 LS6 Chevelle from a guy in Stevenson Ranch a few years ago. Looks like a nice place....

It is a nice place to live. 70 is my favorite year for the Chevelle.

Beautiful car.... but priced a bit high from what I am seeing in the market as a buyer right now. The $10K on 09's has hurt an already weak resale market on 997s

Agree with you... even though others here seem to disagree with my earlier assessment re the price of this car. It is very well optioned and absolutely beautiful, but dealers are pricing '08 models so aggressively now, that $67K for a 2007 doesn't make any sense.

There was a post on 6speed yesterday, where a member bought a new 2008 S with original sticker of $92K for $72K and CPO was added to it... tough to compete with that!

That deal was not done. Dealer told buyer they would think on it and now that buyer is considering an 09 for 82K.

The dealer was at 75K on the 08.

Pricing is tricky right now I agree but think this is a great car.

Yep, you are correct... saw they didn't close the deal yet... still the dealer in that case is willing to do $75K and CPO for a new 2008... probably can even go a bit lower....

I have heard a couple people talk about deals like that, but yet to find any myself. Searching on Porsches pre-owned search, autotrader, and ebaymotors, it still seems as this is the least expensive asking price given the options and miles. The comps seem to be high 60s+ with less expensive cars either having significantly more miles or significantly less options.. If anyone has seen something to the contrary that can be linked to, I would lkie to see it. I am trying to keep the car competitively priced, but also have to balance out what my stepmom wants for the car. If the market does not bear the price, than it will need an adjustment, however I need evidence in order to do this. To back it up, I have seen actually sales on ebay of all places for 60+ on 07s with more miles. I do also have a couple interested parties at close to the price, although no one has committed. Hopefully it will find a good home soon as it really is a beautiful car.

The forums tend to quote the absolute lowest price deals and most buyers on the forums think they are dealers and should be able to buy at Manheim prices.

IMO, you have a high quality car there in as new condition and somebody will pay knowing they are getting a legit car with a known history.

Good luck with the sale.

As i mentioend, i hope you get your asking price... no need to go at a lower price at this stage, unless you have to sell very quickly. GLWS!

Just for your records.

I test drove a 2008 997 S at the Porsche dealer in Mclean, Virginia (part of Fairfax, Virginia) last June. Meteor grey Metallic on black, all the usual options 6,400 miles. Car drove beautifully, gorgeous and brand new. They were asking $62,000, took them 40 days to sell it at that price too.
