Hunter Green or Black

Hunter Green or Black
I'm looking at a new 08 c2 cab that's hunter green with beige interior. I don't see too many with that color on the sight. What are your thoughts on getting that color vs black w/ beige interior...tks

Black & Beige is a striking combination. My BMW is that combo. I love the car. I wouldn't buy black if buying new. In my case I didn't have a choice of color if I wanted a well maintained, low mileage, never winter driven 540 that belonged to a family friend.
I'd go green.
I'd go green.

Hunter green was a really cool color in the mid to late 90's . I remember VW had it available in their Jettas at the time, but eventually more and more car brands began featuring hunter green and it sorta lost its novelty.

When it comes to cars black isn't a color it's a second job.
I'm unmoved by arguments focused on resale value. Buy the car for you, not for the next guy. Drive the hell out of it and get the color you're most fond of. If you put enough miles on the car then the color won't be a major factor in resale value anyway.

Green, green, go man go!
Green isn't rare because it's "lost it's novelty". The inverse is true. The "novelty" colors today are limited to the whimsical (sarcasm, that) variations on silver, black, grey and white. Green is only rare because it doesn't fall into the SBGW group.
Good on Porsche for using green on the 997.2 launch cars. Here's hoping the green cabs rolling around the streets will open the minds of Porsche (and maybe other brand) car buyers to the possibilities associated with stepping out of the SBGW box.
Black is very, very nice with a tan interior. But green/tan is classic and brings a bit of individuality to the automotive ubiquity of SBG & W. This is one of the things I truly love about Carreras - the appeal of the car can be dramatically influenced with color. A yellow 911 with a black interior has a very different presence than a grey car with a carrera red interior.
Even Smart cars and Mini Coopers are running around the streets of my town in shades of SBGW. Seems such a shame.

You won't get sick of black.
Green? Maybe not next week, or even next month, but, eventually...you'll get sick of it.

It depends on you.
But I say black. After 3 black cars, I swore I'd never own one again. But those cars weren't Porsches, and here I am with a black 997. But I love keeping my 911 spotless, so it's detailing work I'd do regardless of color.
I once had a dark green BMW 5 series with beige interior; I loved the color combo and never tired of it. However, after a few years my wife grew tired of the green, actually started hating it. So although I wasn't ready to part with the car, we traded it for a white BMW. Can't go wrong with black or white IMHO.

Thanks all for the input. I ended up with the green/beige. i do like the colors and it is a bit different...don't see a lot of them. i also like the blk/beige. It also came down to price...the dealer gave me a really good deal on the car and trade in on mine
