Last night I was stopped for speeding ( just 10 over) I was being stupid... but no traffic and it was really late. My question is this... As the Officer was giving me the ticket to sign, I started joking around with him, he gave me the envelope and my license,reg, insurance back. When I got home the actual citation was not there. He never gave me the actual citation. I tried calling the police station last night and was only able to leave a message. I am eligible to take DD school but I can't sign up without the ticket.


Any Suggestions?

 

Apparently you did not get a ticket.

 

Might not have been given a ticket, but you still need to call and check. You might get something in mail but still your responsibility to follow up and take care of ticket, one way or another. Let it go and a bench warrant could be issued for your arrest. Next time you're pulled over you could end up in handcuffs and the car towed to impound yard. This will make speeding ticket charge seem like small change. Tow and yard fees even for a few days can run into hundreds of dollars. Valuables go missing. Car can be damaged. In some locations you can only pay in cash.
