Thanks for the info. It seems like everyone is getting some amazing deals on these. I think it's just a matter of doing the work and finding a dealer who is willing to work with me on this.

There are plenty of sport bucket cars at the port for your local dealers to get. The skinny is that if he takes one and sells it to you and gives you the 10k back he has to take another car from the port. Now he would actually be increasing his inventory by 1 unit and making nothing on a heavy discounted car he sold. Not many dealers are interested in doing that.

Right - the 10k trunk money is only if they take another car into inventory. so at what price (% wise) is it worthwhile for the dealer? seems even if they can make $1k on the inventory car then its not a bad deal for them right?

Same here...I always thought that there was no need for the 4wd drive in the 911 (except for the turbo maybe) but now I am very tempted because the C4S launch car has the options that I wanted and the reviews are very positive. My only concern is that I am not in love with the color, and, of course, that i will loose my shirt on the trade.
