Default Advice needed re: Xpel Headlight DIY

I received my Xpel Headlight film kit today. When I lay the film out on the headlight I noticed that it covers most of the surface which means it has to make a fairly tight bend over the very top of the light. It really becomes a multi compound curve as it bends back as well as following the side to side curvature of the lens cover. I know the stuff softens up when heated but it does seem like a tight curve with very little surface to adhere to.

Looking for advice/tips by others who have installed their own Xpel kits.

Thanks

Let a professional install it for you. If you overlap the headlight and it cannot remove excess heat, you'll run into issues with the Xenon lamps and headlight assy itself.

It can be floated on with a mix of soap and DISTILLED water. Then you need a plastic squeege to remove as much of the water/soap mix under it and to expel any air bubble to smooth out. It takes a few days to cure fully and evaporate all lube under it.

The soap used under the film is critical for headlights or you get distortion.
