Default Performance clutch or OEM?

Hi,

I need to replace my clutch on my 05 911S. I can either fit the OEM or go with an upgraded clutch from Sachs. Has anybody done this and what has been the results of this change? Is it worth it? I would say that my car is driven mostly on the street (have not done any DE since we had the twins in December 08).

Thanks for the advice

Was something wrong with the original one? As a 997S, the clutch is self--adjusting. Mileage?

It's hard to believe this car was driven correctly to need a clutch this soon. Do you have over 100,000 miles on it?

I wouldn't put anything other than the OEM clutch into it, and then learn to drive a stick!

OEM clutch is just fine. if you were a track oriented guy, I would tell you to install a light weight flywheel while they're in there....

Years ago I ran a Carrera RSR pressure plate in my car because of my non-stock engine configuration (some 100 hp over stock) and it went through clutch CABLES, but never clutch discs. I wouldn't imagine you need anything fancier than OEM for street.
