i had purchased some bypass pipes from them a month or so ago,
the day i got them, they did not fit at all (pipe was exactly the same size as pipe on car.. so obviously did not mate well) i had told them exact year/model/etc so this wasnt the issue.. they had not stretched the pipe out properly to fit over the OEM piece. i called them immediately while under the car and talked to one of their employee's on what to do, he instructed me to try and make it work by cutting the slits down a little so it would slip over..
i tried to modify them to fit, extending the slits down a little but they still did not work, i then called back and spoke to the same guy as before, the same person i originally bought them from and he instructed me to return the pipes back to them and write a note explaining why and address in ATTN to him.
returned them, and didnt hear anything... got a call a week later from them telling me they do not process refunds, after replying that they had told me to return it, they said they did not accept refunds based on sound (this was a fitment issue) after i tried explaining what was what they started yelling at me on the phone about how that is not what they do/etc etc etc and i simply hung up on them because i do not feel that any company should be allowed to yell at someone on the phone.. especially when the customer is very understanding and has called numerous times to try and alleviate problem and even 2 day'd the pipes back on the customers dime to resolve problem and get a refund for defective product.
after being yelled at i called my credit card company and tried to file a dispute for part of the charge (charge was 300 pipes, 20 shipping) i refuted only 300 because they did pay for shipping and the product WAS shipped so i feel was not right to refuse the entire amount..
weeks have passed and i get a letter from CHASE saying that fabspeed said that i used product (i tried to use it, but it didnt fit.. if it had fit i would have kept), B they said i never called them about returning it and i was not authorized to return (i called numerous times and was told by the gentleman that i bought the exhaust from to return to them with a note) C: they said i got what i ordered and was no reason to dispute (i got what i ordered, but in no way did it fit the car.. the pipe was not made properly to fit the car i ordered it for)
so in a nut shell, i would suggest that people of the forum choose not to buy FabSpeed products and instead give their business to other manufacturers that A: stick to their word, and B: do not yell at the customer on the phone while the customer is trying to resolve issue and C: take back all that they had said after the fact.
sorry for the rambling but i am very upset at this point, it isnt about the 300$ but the overall principle that when you order something you should receive a product that fits and when a company tells you to return the item they should then honor a return and not wait till they have it to tell you they do not process refunds.

i have heard negative feedback about them before
if there is one thing this Board should be good for, it is things such as this. if they treat one of us poorly, we should all respond in kind.
let us know if they decide it is better not to hose you. $300 is a small amount to most of us, but the issue is Customer Service. if they don't want to be responsible, fine. it's a good thing to know!

Thanks for the heads up. You may want to start all over with Sharkwerts. They are all over this forum and have an excellent reputation. I called them a while back to inquire about tips, bypass mufflers, etc and they were very courteous and helpful. They also post their mods and installations. I am sure you won't have this problem again. BTW, I am not connected to Sharkwerts in any capacity. Do a search on this forum and you will see what I am talking about.

Yep, I've heard about similar issues like this before. -1 for Fabspeed and +1 for other real "enthusiast" vendors such as Sharkwerks. Sorry, but in the world of business, yelling at customers is a death wish. nuff' said.

Riley, sorry to hear about this...I feel bad because I lead you to Fabspeed for those by pass pipes. I have never had an issue with Fabspeed before and have bought mufflers and 997.2 by pass pipes from them.

its not ur fault, its fabspeed's fault.. all they had to do was be easy to deal with but they chose to yell at me and go against what they said. (had me send back and then after it gets back say "we dont allow refunds")

So after recieving the pipes and putting them on, you called and emailed us to tell us they dont sound anything like the ones in the video which was the wrong car and you wanted to return them for sound and because they did not fit correctly. I told you we can send you a new set that would go right on but you did not want them.
I would like apologize for what happened and we would still like to offer you the discount toward the tips so you would not lose anything and could see the quality of our products and that our customer service is the best. You filed a disput with you credit card provider so in return we explained to them what happened. So Lets put this behind us and try to work out what you originaly wanted on your car and I will do what I can to work everything out and make you a nice discount.
Thanks,
