European Delivery Program - Suspended

[QUOTE=tooloud10;6690505]I don't know that it's pathetic, exactly...just a sign of the times. Anyway, you'd choose a car based on which one still does Euro delivery?
Have you ever picked up a Porsche Euro delivery? My guess would be..no.
I feel it is pathetic, because if Porsche can't manage to provide it at the ridiculous price they charged while being a profitable car company and while MB, Audi, BMW, Volvo still offer theirs with much better benefits, savings and no cost to the participant, I am not sure it is the "Sign of the times" so to speak.
And no I wouldn't choose a car solely on "Euro Delivery", but I would NEVER buy a Porsche without it;-)

Dan, it is sad day when you can't take your new Porsche out on the Autobahn, through the great mountain passes of Europe and even a lap of the Nurburgring, glad I did it in '84 and '06.

So what about this for a crazy thought?
Euro Delivery will be reincarnated in a better (read: cheaper!) form and run like BMW or Audi? Here's hoping!
Dammit just get Audi to run the program, VW will soon own Porsche anyway and already own Audi.

PCNA has changed their stance: The tourist delivery program will continue to operate on a case by case basis.
Dan, do you have a source regarding the open recalls? The 2008 had an update tothe R-tronic gearbox, but I'm not seeing anything w/the 2009.
Most of ours have been manuals to clients in the Seattle area so maybe they're having them done by closer dealerships.
