regarding the price increase - i can't say i'm surprised. we're going into a potentially high inflationary period. i'd raise prices if i had hard inventory and i could do it.
regarding incentives, most of those were to draw down inventory, factory paid for. once inventories get to sustainable levels, they go away. if the economy stays soft, we'll see some back. remember, rule number one with incentives is that they have to go away - legitimately - and can't be predictable...

Jesus, you guys get these cars for free. Here the a 997S Cab cost 136K euros, that´s 190K usd Ad some goodies like LSD, PDK, SatNav Sport seats, leather and other minor options and you will be near 150K euros. Gosh, for the same amount I believe I could run a 997TT Cab in US And we only have two years warranty

Well my take is the higher the price the faster and greater the depriciation. At this rate Ill be lucky enough to afford a set of clear side markers. Kind of reminds me of Rolex, even with a bad economy the watch company continues to raise prices. But, no one is buying. Funny.

The demand for Porsches has slowed but is far from extinguished, particularly for the 911. The GT3 is about to be released in the US and the 997.2 Turbo is supposed to debut at Frankfurt. By increasing 2010 pricing the 09's become more attractive and financing deals will continue. Porsche has chosen to operate its sports car business independently of its financial meltdown at least for the time being. No fire sales.
