Default 997.2 Front radiator grills removable?

Are these still not removable?
How do you guys clean out the leaves and gravel in front of the radiators?
New GT3 has nice wire mesh covers over the air intakes instead

The 997.2 has radiator grills?

I wish my 05 997 had them. I found a dead bird in there when I was cleaning them out a few weeks ago. I thought it was a bunch of leaves, but yuck it was a carcass.

I am surprised you didn't have any overheating issues.

Use a crevice tool and a vacuum cleaner to keep them empty.

With the new 09 cars I just take my vaccum hose in the front and it is open all the way to the sides. No need to poke it throught the 2 front louvered sides...it is all wide open you can even reach your arm from the front to each side of the radiators.

Thanks mdrums,
Particularly because the aluminium fins are so soft, the softer hose won't damage them

You've lost me on this....OK...from the front of the car where the air goes in...the middle part where they use to be a 3rd radiator like on the Tiptronic cars there is zero restriction to the either side radiator on the 09 cars. You can just reach to the right or left with your hand or vaccum hose. I put the bush attachment on the end of the vaccum hose. I also have a long brush to reach in and wash the bugs and tire marbles off the fins too from track days.

Yes, I did it that way, my point was likely softer/safer than the crevice tool in case it contacts the aluminium fins
