i don't understand all the vitriol. http://www.apa.org/topics/controlanger.html

personally, i view the Panamera as being more similar to an E63, not an S. only dictators take turns fast in an S class.

no need for flame suit.
box s and cay s are my choice over any non GTx carerras.
and when they put a real engine in it, i would take them over GT2, GT2 or TT's.

absolutely nothing. just wanted to test your flame suit. just trying to lighten it up for the people still up on the left coast. it was a test, just a test.

Well, that may be the price point where it ended up, and/or the market they feel has the most potential to purchase the car...I do know a couple of older guys (late 60s) that have both S-class AMGs and 911s in the garage, and more telling, both had 928s back in the day...but I maintain that in terms of size, weight, purpose, and avant-garde styling, the CLS63 is the closest German rival. The S63 is almost a foot longer and 300lbs heavier.

I've heard once you see it in the sheetmetal and leather the pictures make sense. Personally, I'd rather have a Panamera Turbo then a S63.

It's a Porsche, damn it! lol

Oh and shouldn't this thread be moved to where it belongs? The Panamera forum?

i completely agree. seating position, binnacle, view all better for the sportier driver. the console is like nothing i've seen in a car. more like a plane. on purpose of course.

this car (the TT version) will smoke an S63. on the track even the NA version will. the big sedan doesn't stand a chance. it's lower and feels like the CG/CR is MUCH lower.

Alan, it certainly feels like it's far more than a couple hundred pounds lighter, but i didn't see any scales.
