As previously indicated, Aisin, is a subsidiary of Toyota. They have been supplying the Tiptronic automatic transmissions to VW and Audi for years. In addition, one can pay extra $$ for an Aisin automatic in a Cadillacs vs. the GM auto. If I understand the Japanese well enough, Aisin must be very proud.

Well I got the car back from the dealership and much to my expectation (and dissapointment) they did not find anything wrong with the car. They emailed Porsche of America and were told this is to be expected with the factory short shifter.

I did print out that link with the cables and updated bracket and I think they barely took a look at it. The service invoice does show that they did check the transmission fluid as suggested by PofA.

Oh well....I hope Porsche comes up with an official fix.

Bummer.
All you can do (as you did) is to continue to document the issue with your dealer. In the event there is a failure you can prove this has been a long standing issue and hopefully get PCNA to cover the repair in the future.
