They looked better in the 996. The 997 looks better in the regular leather, IMHO.

As someone else said, no comfort difference. It is strictly appearance. I had supple leather on my first 996 (bought it pre-owned with under 10K miles back in June 99), and it doesn't wear well.

I wouldn't get it. I also not a big fan of the "natural" leather any longer, now that the "normal" full leather interiors in the 997's are very nice (by Porsche standards).

Just "regular" full leather for me

I would have to say yes. They make the seats look like an old man's recliner to me. Not a fan at all.

If you have a giant keister I wouldn't recommend them. It tends to stretch out the leather.

I prefer supple leather...in fact all three of my Porsches have it! No wear problems on mine.

Points,

I like the supple leather.

I had it on my 996 which was my DD for over 3 years. They are much easier to clean than perforated leather. My seats held up well. Only about 10% of the time did I have a passenger, and after 3 years, the driver seat didn't look much different than the passenger seat.

i had them on my Cayenne turbo and they were more comfortale than the regular seats. i found you sat "in" them a bit more which was good in the cayenne as the bolstering was mild.

can't say about wear as the CTT was swapped in 6 months

Not a fan at all. Looks all stretched out very quickly.
Completely takes away from the look of the car for me.
