Default Presets on the radio- numbers/letters?

I can't understand why some of the FM stations I put in the preset memory are numbers ie: 102.7 and others are L-H, L-3, etc. Any quick solution?

Thanks!

I have the same issue and my dealer told me that's just a quirk with the PCM. I'd love to hear if anyone has a solution.

I believe this is a function of the RDS (I have the same issue in my wife's 5 Series). You could try turning the RDS off?

Mark.

Didn't make a difference on my head unit.

I was told (by PCNA) that it's the 'way' the radio stations transmit their data. So I asked "Then how does a $14000 ford focus manage to get the radio data? Clearly this is a Porsche issue."

((((cricketts))))

They didn't like that question. LOL

OK, I thought maybe I wasn't smart enough to figure it out even after reading the manual.
Stupid design IMO

Same thing annoyed me for four years of ownership. Makes no difference if RDS is on or off. My dealer did some sort of 'reset' to no avail. There have been threads on this in the past; I don't think there was ever an explanation or resolution.

Anybody know if this has been fixed with the new PCM on the 2009s?
