Very sweet ride!

looking forward to hearing your further thoughts between 7.1 and 7.2, specifically evolution of the pasm.

so, the 7.2 replaced your 7.1 and GT3? i've been seriously toying with the idea of upgrading to a GT3 (over a TT) since my p-car has become more of a weekend toy (still 10k miles/year tho) and i want to focus more on DE's.

i know you do a lot of DE's-- so you'll be using your 7.2 for DE's (noticed the fire extinguisher)? over the GT3? if so, that says a lot about the 7.2.

Sweet ride, it's a wonder how Porsche can continually improve this ancient
and storied car.

Great color/wheels. Which P21S products did you use? Paint sealant & wax or just wax?

nice car Ron. Looking forward to your comparison to ex-997S and GT3.

let's see how soon it will take you to get another GT3.

Enjoyed putting 200 miles on today. The hesitation I detected is gone or wasn't there to begin with. Maybe just some adaptation to a new clutch.

The ride on this car and the suspension in general really is amazing. No roll, firm, but compliant over bumps. PASM = Porsche Active Suspension Magic.

I guess the way to deal with the PCM is to just use the mute for audio, but I do wish there was a way to activate just the navigation without the audio.

Honestly, I don't miss the GT3 at all. Yes, I'm a track guy and if I wanted a car for just the track, I would have kept it. But, I really want that "do everything" car that I can enjoy on the track by day and take my wife out to dinner with by night. The GT3 just wasn't that car. The suspension in the 997.2 S is far superior to the 997.1 GT3 and I'm betting that magic will be in the new GT3 as well.

Just use the P21S wax. So easy to use, doesn't turn anything white. Here are some additional photos from today. Keep in mind, the paint is perfect. All of those "spots" and other imperfections you see are reflections

absolutely stunning color!!!
You noted the improved suspension in the 997.2. Could you share what you have noticed in greater specifics.
Congratulations on the new ride!!

Based on street driving only, here are some very random thoughts. The 997.1 and even GT3 suspension would "wander" a bit, almost like it was trying to figure out how to dampen given a certain situation. This 997.2 Sport PASM simple tucks in and holds regardless of the pavement, angle, speed, steering input, etc. The suspension is slightly firmer than 997.1 and feels about as firm as the GT3 was, but is "softer" over bad pavement / bumps. Again, perhaps due to the Gen 2 PASM shocks and logic. Zero dive and body roll compared with 997.1. In fact, I'd say this suspension holds better than the GT3 in all ways possibly because it "figures out" how much to dampen quicker. Where the GT3 would "skip" on a hard turn with bad pavement, this 997.2 Sport PASM just holds true.

The ground clearance doesn't seem too bad for daily driving? It's higher then the GT3 right? How's the LSD vs. the open diff in the 997.2? Why did you delete the badge? Just personal preference or is there another reason? I wish I could afford a new 997.2, I'll just have to suffer with my 335i coupe for a couple more years. The upgrades on the 997.2 are so good, I don't think it makes sense for me to get a CPO 997.1, I might as well just wait.

you should be able to lessen the intrusion of the navigational instructions upon the radio sounds by going into the PCM and tailoring that volume factor.
