I predict that this will become a growing problem as the 997s start to come off warranty where you can simply dial 1 800 PORSCHE and they will take care of things entirely.
I've got some trips to Texas panhandle coming up (my son is going to be a freshman at Tech) and I was thinking of driving the Porsche but don't want to be stuck out there without a spare. Do the options discussed - Boxster spare, 996 spare work on the TT?

I have used the 996 spare on a 996 GT3 without a problem. However, I can't say with any certainty that it would work on a 997.
