Not sure yet...my issue is I do not have a left leg (prosthetic above knee) so I am unable to push a cluth pedal....PDK is a dream for a guy like me. Especially since I like the track.
So far it seems like a Ferrari is the only other choice with F1 transmissionI >love Ferrai's for sure but the maintanance schedule and the fact I like to put around 10k mile a year on the car would become a real problem.
Any idea's?

I'm now at 1600 miles and my oil indicator has dropped completely below the two arrows. Shocked how much it has dropped in the past 700 miles. I still do mostly local/street driving/commuting with rare freeway trips on the weekends. No "add oil" light has come on, but I'm about to pour a quart of 0W-40 in now.

Pour in .5 of a quart and re-check oil. Add if necessary. DO NOT over fill, it is very easy to overfill these cars with the eratic oil level meter. Pour in the .5 quart and drive a few miles or until hot, turn the car off and let it sit for 3 minutes ON A PERFECTLY FLAT SURFACE...like your garage floor and start it back up and re-check the oil level.
I noticed that when I pull into the garage after driving and check the oil level immediately it shows a given level. I'll wait for several minutes then re-check and it will move one mark up. So there has to be some oil draining from the walls in the engine to the reservoir that takes awhile to get there. I forgot, is one mark equal to 1/2 liter?

To me Porsche just does not go into great detail enough about this...but all in all please read the owners manual...it is all there.
thanks! Mike

I'm at a little over 2K miles completing a very regimented break-in. Oil consumption is currently zero.
Oil change with subsequent oil analysis is schedule for this Friday.

I'm wondering whether the black soot is related to the new engine block in general, or more specifically to the DFI. I have a 2009 Cayman 2.9, non-S (new engine block, but no DFI) as my daily driver with 9K miles now. I have no soot, even with city driving.
I'm guessing it's the DFI, since my car has the same new engine block, but with standard port injection.
