Default Copy of my original window sticker

I'm thinking of putting my 997S up for sale so I'm wondering if someone can get me a copy of the window sticker if I give them the VIN. I'm pretty sure I know what options I have, but just want to make sure.

If you post the option codes from your Options sticker, we can tell you what options you have on the car. Porsche used to put the sticker under to trunk lid, but I think they stopped doing that. The sticker is probably on the inside front cover of your Owner's Manual or your Maintenance Manual.

I assume you are referring to the Monroney sticker,--that's unique to the USA. There is generally only one copy of that, produced in Germany by Porsche AG for that particular car. You can't get another one. You CAN request a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity for a price, which will lay out the options. You can send for one through your dealer or directly with PCNA in Atlanta. The old options sticker in the front compartment routine was ended with the 997s, and that sticker is usually placed inside the front cover of the maintenance booklet that is given to you upon delivery.

Monroney sample is below, followed by the certificate from PCNA:

I think I have the options sticker in the manual so I'll see how that does but I'm also going to contact my local dealer about the cert of authenticity.

Edgy -not only is that one seriously decked out C2S, but if that's Mexico Blue that is possibly the sickest looking Cab I've ever, ever seen.

Edgy, only an Okie or a car salesman would know the real name for the sticker is MONRONEY!

Just a couple of things....

1) the Monroney sticker is generated at the US port of entry, and 2 are normally printed

2) if you have a great relationship with your dealer they may be willing to ask the port to re-print the sticker for you

Good Luck

It's a part of the Tourist Delivery. It's a deposit on the VAT (mehrvertsteuer) in Germany as insurance that you take the car out of the country within a certain amount of time. In Germany, the locals have about a 19% Value Added Tax which is tacked onto everything, including cars (how do you think they afford all those socialist programs??) If you were to pretend to buy a Euro Delivery car and then simply not expost it and sell it locally they would be out that 19%.

Porsche pitches in the difference between the $10,000 the buyer puts down and the actual Mehrvertsteuer amount. (They used to put it all down). When the car ships out of Germany PCNA is notified of the sailing and alerts the local dealership to refund to the buyer that $10,000 and interest. When I got it back, I didn't have it for long. It went to sales tax in California!

Everyone should seriously consider a European Delivery at least once in their life!

No - VAT is similar to sales tax.

Only Porsche would offer the option to buy your list of options.

Yes, I know that is the case in the UK, and other places in Europe. I didn't think we had VAT here.

Do you pay it bc you pick up in Europe?
