Default Recent Manheim Auction Sales

In an effort to gather as much market data as possible entering into negotiations I was hoping to learn of recent Manheim sales of the following:

2007 low mileage C2 cabriolet (bi-xenon,bose)

2008 low mileage C2S cabriolet (well optioned)

Thanks in advance.

Any similar coupe data would also be appreciated

Todd

Colorado- all due respect bud, but you should use the 'search' button for this topic. And FYI; manheim won't help you when it comes to 'negotiating' a 911. Particularly considering that most are paid for in CASH and trade for CASH deals- not leased. Which means that the former owner was looking at the total out the door 'delta'; not the sale price and trade in price as most would suspect.

Use rennlist as a tool; but end of the day; pick your poison aka C2, C2S, C4S Cabriolet- whatever, and then seek THOSE cars. - Then from there start using the phone/email and start the negotiations.

E550 4 matics these are not.

cheers.

Oh btw: most Porsche dealerships don't send cars or buy cars off the auctions. If it's in manheim, there's a reason for it. And it isn't typically a 'great reason'. mkay?

But that doesn't stop them trying to use Manheim prices to quote trades!

Manheim is brutal these days... The dealerships I visited before I got my C4S showed me $25K for base Caymans and $35K for my RS4. Ouch... I ended up getting $33K and $50K, respectively.

I've heard this from more than one dealer. I guess it's a "oneway" street?

maybe they figure theyre gonna sell your trade at the auction but they would never sell their car at auction?

hey no hating! i bought my car off of manheim OVE. :-)

my understanding is that most of the manheim porsches are trade-ins, particularly lately since the porsche dealers were up to their necks in inventory.

honestly, if you can get a PPI, then don't think buying off of manheim is necessarily all that different from buying off a non-porsche dealer.

I know. Personally I think it's bull****. And it would **** me off if it was me sitting infront of a sales person/manager talking about it.

I've heard it too. Trust me, car dealers annoy me too! lol

Hey no hating mang! It's all good. OVE I look at each day - but not for P cars.

That's the rub; clients these days are putting each penny under a microscope; so the 3rd party alternatives and non Porsche dealer's are low on the list of 'options to buy' for potential P car owners.

Clients want to 10000 % know what they're getting for their $$, and who could blame them? I would want the same too. At least with a Genuine CPO car it's backed by PCNA. And that says a lot. Especially if you don't like gambling with your money.

* yesterday I helped my sister buy a car back in Boston, spoke to 9 or 10 different dealers b/4 finding a guy who was a straight shooter. Believe me, I fully understand why most of you dislike 'car salesman'.

I'd love to make it my mission to change the way the business does it's 'business'.

Gee....as someone new to the Porsche market....just began looking in past two weeks...from what I can tell prices are moving downward at a fairly brisk pace....from looking at ebay...and what actually selling....and most interesting in negotiating with dealers....who swore they needs a zillion dollars...I tell them thanks but no thanks....but they come back with progressively lower prices....but I still haven't found the right deal.....

There are indeed a lot of dealerships whom are bleeding dry at the moment. Reap the benefits.
