997.2 PSE
One of the German guys over on Rennteam has posted a Photoshopped version of the new PSE tips as he thinks they should have been. The first photo is a picture of the new PSE as it could have been.
The second is a pic of how it is.
Just as an addition to all the "foreskin" comments in another thread

Definitely looks cheesy, but I imagine the aftermarket will come up with an attractive solution...will definitely order PSE on my next car.

Does it look like the 997.2 PSE tailpipe itself is not stainless steel like the 997.1 PSE, but just a poorly-fit cheap-looking decorative ring?
Dear Porsche, please tell me there is a technical and functional reason for that, and not just another cost saving result. We all understand you claim PSE has no direct performance gain, so if we pay that much amount of money for the PSE please at least make it look pretty and expensive...

soot is the reason
The guys who own them say that DFI causes lots of soot on the tips. Hence the black inserts. But I'm gonna see how they look when they come and maybe look to an aftermarket entrepreneur for a fix. I think I'd rather have soot!
