Then you would really have some explaining to do!

As mentioned, launch cars were spec'd by Porsche. Not sure what they were thinking. Maybe to highlight the difference or just to provide lower cost option. No matter the reason, I think you'd be much happier with the SCP. My advice is to find one with it. Good luck.

What about SC on a manual car? With that transmission, it is a bit of a gimmick right? I couldn't tell the difference, but I wasn't driving on the track so it was hard to tell. What do people think?

I ordered my '09 C2S and got PDK but no sport chrono and do not miss it. The launch control did not interest me at all. A worthwhile option I did get is the limited slip rear end. I debated long and hard before I ordered the PDK but am glad I got it, what a blast to drive.
Enjoy the new ride and I do agree the new green is stunning, and I'm not a green person.

Trader220, did all of the green launch cars come with same equipment? I tested one here locally several weeks ago with PDK and was quite impressed. What kind of price are you talking? tia

No they were not all identical, we had two which were very close the only difference was one had nav and one didnt. We still have the one without nav and if you're serious I can sell that car at 88k, stickered for about 100k. I think someone in this thread mentioned that Porsche is offering some nice financing until March 2nd too.
