The bra goes halfway up the hood and front fenders. The headlights and mirrors also have the treatment.

The car does not have NAV. All 2005-2008 997s have the same "PCM" screen and the wiring for NAV. When a car doesn't have NAV, it can still be purchased plugged in if someone wants it.

Thanks for your comments and questions, folks.

your car has the sport steering wheel, right? Its a little thicker than the standard one?

How come no one ever lists that as an option?

The Carrera S steering wheel is thicker than non-S steering wheel. Every S has the thicker wheel.

Looks like the stock S steering wheel to me.

Are you sure. That isn't my understanding. I thought to get a thicker sport steering wheel you needed to have option XPA, which is not standard on S cars.

You see how the center is round - where the horn is? Most cars are more triangular shaped. like this one:

I thought thick sport wheel = round center. I could definitely be mistaken.

I believe the non-S cars typically come equipped with the standard (non Sport) wheel with the triangular air bag. I believe the S cars come with standard sport wheel (with round air bag). Then the options are:
1) Non-sport wheel with multi function controls
2) Thicker non sport wheel with multi function controls
3) Thicker sport wheel with leather covering (option XPA).

I believe that is correct. My S had the round "sport" steering wheel. My new TT has two options: smooth leather wheel, and thicker steering wheel. There is a BIG difference in the thicker wheel (much nicer!).

Yes, there's thin Carrera, thicker standard Carrera S, and the optional super thick wheel. Multi-function controls were available on thin or thick, but not super thick, IIRC. Then there's wheel finish - smooth leather, I think there was a carbon option, colored plastic (?), solid 25 karat gold, etc. Maybe someone like Dan/Edgy can quote the possible number of wheel combinations - which multiply if you consider the different available interior colors.

Favorite wheel I ever had was a Momo Monte Carlo wheel I got as a replacement steering wheel for a hot hatchback I drove back in the late 80's. It felt so good compared to the thin rubbery wheel the car came with.

Did you have track wheels and tires for this car? If so did you sell them?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - I wanted to run the pics by my missus. She seems to think that the Speed Yellow is "angry" and would prefer I get something more neutral. GLWS - a lovely car.
